Is She Pregnant?

by David Voss
(Sarasota, FL)

Our goat lives with her sister. The two females are healthy and seem very content living along side our two horses.

But one of the goats looks and acts pregnant. Her teats are very swollen and sometimes she has trouble walking she's so fat.

Her sister does not have the same symptoms She has never been exposed to a male goat and has never given birth. How can this happen? How do we help her?

I would suggest that you get a veterinarian to check her as there is obviously a problem.

Don't just go with information that you can find on the internet. When an animal is ill or showing health problems of any kind, please seek the expertise of qualified practitioners.

Thanks!
